I saw my headset disconnecting from my PC randomly when I added a 1ft USBc extension as a break away cable in case I yanked the cord. What it eventually turned out to be was the cable itself was causing my USB3.1 port to not be recognized as USB3.1. There was a warning indicator in the device list of the Oculus app that showed this.

Yeah I already tried 2 different cables on two diffrent ports (one ubs-c to usb-c, the other ubs-c to usb 3.0)-the same behaviour on both cables and ports. As you said it keeps disconnecting and connecting, sometimes it stays in one state for half a minute, sometimes its switches multiple times per second. Btw. the video connection is working fine.
